Friends, all good things your way. It’s been a week of woodshedding new tunes in the new living room with resonant wood floors. The guitar sure sounds deluxe in the presence of 77 year-old planks ‘o pine. You can pretty much play any note you want and there’s some sonic agreement going on. Big fun! We also did a concert video shoot yesterday for an Oceanside cable T.V. station so I’ll let you know when that surfaces.

For this week my long time friend Rob Schneiderman is setting foot in springtime California for some LegoLand with the kids and some jazz with the growns. Rob grew up in Del Mar and was in the early loop with myself, my brother Tripp, bassist John Leftwich, and many others. From there his music took him to N.Y.C where he lives now with his family. In addition to playing some fierce bebop piano Rob also thinks it up big with a gig teaching math at New York University. We’re stoked he’s in town and we’re looking forward to connecting with Bob Magnusson and Jim Plank for a night of jazz at Dizzy’s.

Also this week on Friday we’re playing the Del Dios gig which is always a breath of fresh country air and then Saturday at the elegant Inn L’Auberge in Del Mar.
