Hola Good People, today I’m into an abbreviation shake down on account of a backlog of studio work and an upcoming north swell swirling in the blue pacific. It’s looking like a good week to be calling California our home!

I've started to get overwhelmed with my guitar with 2 necks and 12 strings and instead, I'm going back to basics. Here's a photo of my latest experimentation and it's only got 1 string to deal with. Plus, for those noisy folks in the back, I can shake them up with a little arrow to remind them that silence is golden. Hah!

Tonight I’m heading over to the L’Auberge del Mar to play some solo guitar as the sun drops below the horizon. Come and let the dust of the day fall off into their expensive couches. They won’t mind and it’ll be great to have you soak up the music.
Thursday is my Roxy solo gig night and it’s one of my favorites!
I’m connecting with Bob Magnusson and my brother Tripp on Saturday night for a night of music at Harry’s in La Jolla. We always have a great time and also get to eat some good food. See ya there!
And looking off into the future of next week, we’re doing two concerts with my String Consort group, one in Pacific Beach and one in L.A. Check out the details below and these concerts are pretty cool, unique musical moments with a string quartet mixing in with a jazz guitar trio…

I love this band and the last time we played the Tango gig the sound was ultimate! That room with the wood floor and the high ceilings and us, with a zillion strings and wood made a perfect combo. Come out for a night of music that carves a pretty unique arc. |
