Hi Folks, I’m up early and looking at the surf report. Mmmm, think I’ll wait for a possible later in the day big blue moment. The south wind has been on it early for the last few weeks and man, I thought summer was here. I’m freezing!

Speaking of windy and cold, that’s what we had last Sunday at the Rancho Bernardo Winery gig but thanks to Leonard and Gunnar we had some heat generating off of the samba grooves — combustible partido alto. Loved it!

Big fun at the RB hang with (left to right) Gunnar, Leonard and Peter.

I’ve been in the studio working on the final mixes for a project that I’m planning on releasing really soon. It’s a collection of my original songs that are all vocal tunes and recorded with Kevyn Lettau, Leonard Patton, Lisa Hightower, Allison Adams Tucker and Kate Fuller. It’s sounding good and I’ll let you know when it makes it’s way to the surface.

For this week I’m bringing my world of solo guitar to the Roxy Restaurant in Encinitas on Thursday evening. Cool things are going on over there complete with North County bohemia mixed in with legit real estate agents closing in on a deal over vegetarian lasagna all hovering over the soundscape of some bearded muso tinkering with illegal harmony. Can’t miss that!

Also, just in planning ahead, next week singer-songwriter Emily Elbert is coming to town and we’re playing a show at the Tango del Rey in PB. She was here 6 months ago and blew us all away. What an amazing blend of folk music, Michael Jackson, Antonios Carlos Jobim and Joni Mitchell all coming out of a gal that looks to be all of 13 years old. She’s really something! Look below for the details…

That’s it and stay well, Peter

7:30 PM   Tripp, Leonard and I are heading to Kauai to play the jazz festival there and we thought it'd be cool to play a show in San Diego to share in the aloha, California style. This is a really cool setup for a concert in the lovely home of John and Kim and it'll be a magical evening with some intermission desserts.
