Hi Friends, since I last saw you my daily flow has been working out the sonic details of the Billy Childs extremely large library of odd meters and free floating key signatures. I’m in the shed as they say. The concert is next week and I think I’m just about ready. It’s been a fun ride getting to know how Billy chooses to fill up the empty measures.

Also in the flow are some sessions with this young and gifted vocalist, songwriter, and keyboardist named Leroy Daniels. What a sound! He’s a student at the San Pasqual Academy and is working with me on a whole CD project. He shows up armed with 7 Eleven food and his original compositions and then we jump into the dreamland of shaping the whole thing into a recording. I’ll let you know when his CD is complete…
