Hola Fine People, I'm getting the word out about a show this Friday night with me and the Blurring the Edgesters. We pulled the details together yesterday and we’re all set to play Dizzy’s with Tripp on sax, Fred, guitaring it, father Hall leading the way with percussive grooves and me on the guitar. We’ve got some of our classics all lined up and for this show and we’re also adding an adapted version of my “Width of the World” composition, which is the piece I wrote for the San Diego Symphony a few years back. It’s a ride through some fairly whacked notes ending up in a Phrygian fusion dance with Fred pulling out all of his Middle Eastern tricks. Can’t wait!

Blurring The Edges featuring (left to right) Hall, Tripp, Peter, Fred and Rocky the dog...

The North County soulful Thursday hit continues this week with me and the guitar at the Roxy.

And for Sunday, Brasiliero Andy Villas—Boas’ group will be playing at Anthology with a tribute to the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim. Andy’s an old friend and years ago he recorded his “Aire” CD at my place. He sings up a storm and always brings something fresh to the music. Look below for the details and hope to see you out there…

adios, Peter
