Friends, the flow continues on. I’ve been buried in the studio but still getting some peripheral time in the big blue. Speaking of the expansive blue, we just got some photos back from a water camera in Kauai and I like the way the world looks from the saltwater vantage point.

One of our favorite gigs over the years was the Friday evening jams at Ki’s Restaurant in Cardiff. Mixing up the great company, the paramount view, the tasty food, the wonderful owners and staff with our freedom music culminated in some memorable nights of jazz. Unfortunately Ki’s is not doing music anymore and it has left a vacant spot for us to spin out in North County. The good news is that this week we’re starting up at a new North County restaurant and we’re hoping the magic will continue there. Located in Solana Beach right off the Coast Highway is Paroli’s Italian Restaurant. They’ve been in business for years but just recently started featuring live jazz. For this week, Leonard, Tripp, Father Hall and myself will setup the cables and amps and set out to dream up some new sonic landscapes. I hope you can make it out and be part of the loop with us…

Also for this week is a last minute booking at the completely first class club Anthology. The scheduled band had some health problems so we have been asked to fill in and we’re stoked. We played there a couple of weeks back and had a fabulous time. The place is beautifully setup for music, the sound is magical, the food is top notch, and we’re so happy to play this music. The band is our Pass The Drum group and we’re playing a blend of Sergio Mendes Brasil ’66 tunes linked in with some modern Brazilian tunes, some samba-ized Stevie Wonder gems, some morphed Marley, and some of my original creations. This should be a great night of music and hope to see you there…

That’s it for now folks and keep the sky in your head, Peter
