Friends, it’s been a busy and inspiring week. Great concerts with Kevyn and Jennifer Lee and added into the mix a computer motherboard meltdown. The data was backed up so no worries there but it all leads to getting a new computer and that leads to software updates and it all means extra time doing the digital dance. The flow is again hovering here at SpragueLand and after last nights String Consort rehearsal, the grace of music is the word of the day. Loving it!

For this week I’m returning back to the classic scene at the Roxy Restaurant in Encinitas. The vibe was totally peaking before I left for Europe and we’d have wonderful crowds of folks into the music and eating their way into North County bliss. Solo guitar explorations touching into the rhythm of the loose surroundings. I’ll start the Thursday night flow again this week and I’ll keep it going until my next Euro jaunt in October. Hope to see you on this one.
I’m heading for L.A. to play the Fret House on Saturday night. I’ve never been there before but I’m stoked to follow many great guitarists that have shared their stories at this legendary spot. Look below for details and it’d be great to see the L.A.’sters on this one.

We rehearsed the String Consort group last night and it’s always fun getting to play that music. We were shaping it up for our concert on Sunday at the Idyllwild Jazz Festival. The music is held in the middle of the woods and it’s one of the most idyllic setups that I’ve ever played. There is a wonderful roster of musos that are part of this festival so you might consider going up for the whole day and taking in the vibe.
