Hi Good Folks, I’m just back from a radical evening of taking photos of my daughter and her 20 girlfriends —all dressed up to the hilt, as they boarded a limo headed for the House of Blues for a school formal dance. Complete insanity on many fronts but the most obvious to me is that this girl is tall and this girl is flying fast towards being a grownup. Can’t it all move a little slower, if not for them but for Stef and I? Turns out that it’s not supposed to and it’s our (the parents) turn to sit in the hot seat. Hot cross buns personified…

I’m gearing up for an exciting show with my String Consort on Tuesday evening at the Saville Theatre in San Diego. I dig this group and if you haven’t heard us yet you might want to bolt from the house and check it out. And many thanks to George Varga for the wonderful San Diego Tribune review of the band in this weeks “Who Made You God” column. Click here if you want to read the piece.

The Peter Sprague String Consort

Also coming up next week, I’ll play my coveted solo gig at the Roxy in Encinitas on Thursday. On Valentines Day Leonard, Bob and I will play a concert at the acoustically gifted Founders Hall in Solana Beach. These shows have always been a highlight with good folks in the audience and a gorgeous looking and sounding space for the music. Can’t wait!

And coming up down the way, later in the month, vocalist Kevyn Lettau and I will play a special house concert in Cardiff on February 28th. We’ll be playing music and celebrating our new recording “What Is Enough?” Check below for the details.

That’s it and hope to see you on the next loop.

adios, Peter
