Hi Friends, we’re just getting back from a wild adventure south of the border. We took the band and family members to San Miguel de Allende, a cool colonial Mexican town a couple hours north of Mexico City. We broke out the instruments and played in their annual Jazz and Blues Festival—one night our band and then the second night with saxophonist Bob Sheppard’s group. Great fun hanging with such wonderful folks in a classic town! Our house was up on high hill and I think we counted 180 really steep stairs leading up to it. No cars allowed and the whole week was mostly walking—walking to the nearby park in the morning, walking to the Jardin to hang out in the town square, and walking home late after the gig. Now we’re ready for a hotel gig on the 20th floor with a broken elevator.

Can’t wait to return next year for the jazz festival. We'll let you know...

For this week I’ll be spreading the good word of music at the Roxy in Encinitas—solo guitar for the good people of North County. Please come and join us…

adios, Peter
