Hello Good Folks, coming to you after a fantastic weekend of music. First it was the concert with Fred for the Folk Heritage entourage. Enormous fun! Fred had the guitar talking in tongues and telling the story of how Segovia met Jimi Hendrix. The concert yesterday at the El Cajon Library was a real highpoint too. It was packed to the rafters with an enthusiastic audience and they seemed to be taking in our schooled chaos without resistance. Tripp had an EWI solo on “She’s Leaving Home” that reached new heights. Can’t wait to do it again!

A little bit before summer hit, Bob Magnusson, Tripp and myself took a surf and music exploration in Cabo San Lucas. I wrote a tune for the little town where we were staying and we’ve been playing the song on most shows lately. I finally got around to recording the song and I’m stoked to announce that “Costa Azul” has made its way to my online store and is available for download. On Friday night, the String gang and I are steering our cars to the north and tooling it up to play a show at Soka University in Aliso Viejo. This is a concert series that Jim Merod puts together and we’re thrilled to be included in it. It’s always an inspiring time to play with this group and to hear the music come to life in 3D.
