Friends, doing the juggle with the faders in the studio, the developing new music store on the net, the Herculean fete of porting the music books over to a computer like device for a new way to read music on the gig, and learning McCoy Tyner’s solo on “Blues On The Corner” ‘cuz it’s a brilliant moment of music. All of this fun and interesting but keeping the hurricane factor running into overtime.

Last week’s hit with maestro Schneiderman at Dizzy’s was some soulful excursions through his mathed up viewpoint in blend with Mag’s growly low end and Jim Plank’s big time groove. It went well and the snake groove of “Freedom Jazz Dance” still has me smiling. We may rerun this troupe in the summertime when Rob returns to the west coast.

For this week Bob Magnusson and I team up with vocalist Tokeli for a night at the airport. Tokeli scored the “what seems to be the weirdest gig but is actually a pretty cool gig” and we’ll be hanging at SD’s Terminal 2 serenading the incoming travelers as they reunite with their loved ones. It’s a sentimental moment and Tokeli’s “Where Do You Start?” is just what the good doc ordered…

Hope to see you out there, Peter
