Friends, life is good over here in Encinitas and I’m inspired after hearing guitarist Pat Metheny rip it up at Anthology last evening. Yesterday’s flow was an early morning school concert with my group, back home for some biz and phone calls, a late afternoon surf sesh with great waves and warming water, and then a night making our way to downtown SD to hear Metheny and his trio take an amazing sonic journey through folk, bop, blues, synth mayhem, and finally garage jazz. Amazing! I’m convinced California has it going on…

This week I’m restarting the Thursday solo guitar gig at The Roxy in Encinitas. I took a few weeks off to play other Thursday hits and I’m stoked to be back. Hope to see you there.

Also I’m spreading the word about one of my favorite musos who is playing at Anthology this Saturday. Geoffrey Keezer is an amazing pianist and composer and I’ve had the good fortune of playing music and recording with him. He’s leading a trio with Hamilton Price on bass and the amazing Marvin “Smitty” Smith on drums. Also vocalist Julia Dollison will be added into the mix and I haven’t heard her before but Keezer raves about her music. I’m in, I’m there, all ears focusing on this groups brilliance! Go here for more background on Geoffrey and go here for more info on this weeks show at Anthology. Hope to see you there…

adios, Peter
