Hello Winter Friends, I’m either freezing or boiling over here. The middle of the days are summertime in December and the morning and nights are full on Ice Capades in search of a new pair of skates. No worries really, just gotta break out the special gloves with the fingertips cut out and play on…
Guinga played it beautifully the other eve at the Athenaeum Studio. Brilliant musicianship and compositions, all memorized and flowing, and into the idea of playing yet one more show. Plus this dude had some EXTENDED chords that found even his left thumb leaving it’s normal position and instead getting involved in holding down some strings. Outrageous stretches bringing around the magic colors. I loved it…
This week it’s Dr. Benedetti and myself firing up the acoustic instruments connecting into the muse, connecting into the digital grid, surfing the sonic landscape of Grossmont College. I can’t wait! Last month we played a show in Escondido and it was a huge success filled with new songs, new songs that went to new places, and new folks to take it all in.
