Greetings Good People of the Rainforest! This current water world is working for me. Luckily I’m orbiting around my studio and not dealing with the wonders of hydroplaning on Freeway 5. We’ll leave that ritual to the pros. In the meantime, I’m working out the details for the music that this week holds. Here it comes.

On Wednesday I’m heading back up to L.A. to play a night of music with vocalist Denise Donatelli. Under the arrangership of Geoffrey Keezer, Denise has again come up with an excellent new recording called “When Lights Are Low.” Keezer dreams up some wild new angles on these tunes and then Denise brings her beautiful voice and vibe to the music. It’s a great combination and mix this in with a stellar band and cool night of music is most likely to happen. We’re playing at Vitello’s and I know it’s a far drive but you might consider it. I hope so.

Vocalist Denise Donatelli.

Next, for Friday night I’m zeroing in on Del Mar’s Inn L’Auberge for a night of solo guitar in the lobby. It could be weird but in the old days it was a super cool hang. I’m up for giving it a try if you are.

And the week will round out with a night of guaranteed fun at the world famous Roxy Restaurant in Encinitas. On Saturday evening vocalist Kevyn Lettau and I take a sonic excursion through Gershwin to Brazil with a stop at Stevie Wonderland in between. Come in and see how Encinitas celebrates the bliss of freedom from work. Long live the weekend!

See ya then. Yours in H2O, Peter

My nylon guitar patiently awaiting it's master to get off the computer and strum a few chords.
