Hi Friends, yesterday I wrote the last few notes for the second composing commission and it’s now officialy complete! What a great feeling to have traveled the journey with those kernel note friends. We explored pull-offs, Burt Bacharach, wicked fast Celtic-ish moves and even a twisted metric modulation thrown in for good measure. The good news is that no one was harmed during the process. Where I’ll go from here is to book some concerts and then acclimate the group into the vision of the what the piece is. Creative wizardry ahead!

For this week I'm heading over tonight to the Roxy in Encinitas for an evening of solo guitar. I’ve been playing in O’side, Fallbrook and Cabo for a bunch of the last Thursdays and now it looks like I’ll mostly be around for the time coming up. It’ll be great to traverse the sound and friendship once again at the Roxy. Hope to see you there!

On Sunday night we’re heading up to Santa Ana to play a concert at the Episcopal Church of the Messiah. The band will be myself along with Tripp and Gunnar. We’re stoked to be plugged into this concert series and the Church sounds amazing and the vibe is stellar. Look below for the details.

Coming up next week Fred and I play a show at the Julian Library on 5/3 and we’re doing our PS Plays the Beatles show at the Museum of Making Music on 5/7 with our all-star group. Maybe plan ahead on that one!

That’s it friends and thanks for staying in the LOOP…

Peter

4 PM   This is a big event for us. I was commissioned to compose a piece for the NC Singers plus my string group and I spent a month figuring out what would work. I love the piece and this will be the world premier of "Calling Me Home: Suite". It's a big piece and it takes us on a wonderful journey. You've got to hear it!
