Hi Folks, there's a change in the weather. Right now I’m listening to Herbie play some cool out lines on Joe Farrell’s “Moon Germs” recording while catching up on some biz and then later I'll morph into the studio to do some guitaring. Life is good and I hope for you too.

This week I’m heading up to the NAMM Show in Anaheim for an update on the world of music gear, an update on how many insane musos there are in this world, and an update on how life with just an unplugged acoustic instrument might be the best after all. Ever thought of midi-ing up the electric toothbrush? We’ll see how it pans out.

Moon germs and the fact that there might be too many cables for happiness...Digital spaghetti!

I’m playing solo guitar at the Roxy this Thursday and from there I’ll move to Harry’s on Saturday night with brother Tripp and low-end avatar Bob Magnusson on bass. Wrapping up the week, I’ll be at Seaside Church in Encinitas on Sunday morning with vocalist Kevyn Lettau. Hope to see you out there if you can make one of the hits.

A few other small details.

Kevyn Lettau is kick-starting her email list and if you’d like to be in the loop with her and her whereabouts, please send your email to:
pinkman1@aol.com
and she’ll add you to her list. This week she and pianist Russell Ferrante are playing a show on Thursday at the Merc in Temecula. It’ll be great music and click here for the details.

Pianist Geoffrey Keezer is up for a Grammy this year in the Best Latin Jazz Category for his recording Aurea that he worked on here at SpragueLand. It’s an incredible journey of jazz meeting the rhythmic pulse of Peru all spun inside the vision of Keezer's head and hands. This is great news and this week George Varga did a nice piece in the SD Union Tribune about Geoffrey and his world. Check it out here.

That’s it folks, stay well and stay inspired!

Peter
