Friends, coming to you after a marathon day at the new jazz club in San Diego called Anthology. We met there early yesterday and did a sound check flowing into a great meal culminating with some samba music real-time. What an amazing place! Great sound and acoustics, live video feed to see close-ups of the musos hands, full on listening, and treating the musicians well as if the 30 years of honing our craft leading to hopefully some good decisions on what notes to play actually meant something. Thank you to the Anthology tribe—we had fun and we’re looking forward to drumming it up again in August. And thanks to all of you who made the trek into the tall towers of Little Italy…

Band photo in the Anthology Green Room. We're all in there except Duncan 'cuz he's taking the photo...

For this week I’ll make the streamlined drive to Encinitas’ Roxy Restaurant for an evening of solo guitar on Thursday. This is one of my favorite hits plugging into the North County Transcendental Factory—flowing from one song into the next, leaving the details of harmony up to the Tao, all the while ordering up a falafel plate and chasing it with a Hansen’s Soda. I’m in and hope you are too!

For Saturday eve it’ll be Lisa, Gunnar and myself aligning with the Inn L’Auberge in Del Mar. We played the Inn last weekend and the first set with the sun going down over the outdoor patio felt like summer at it’s best. Hope to see you there for version 2…

That’s the story for now….happy trails, Peter
