Dear Good Folks, reporting to you from a stellar spring moment fortified by one of the great albums of all time —Getz/Gilberto. I’ve got bossa nova coming out of the speakers as I’m taking care of loose ends, Rocky the dog is in total Samadhi on the couch as the iPhone brilliantly navigates the endless flow of digital data—it’s a good life!

Speaking of good lives, we had a really good one last week at the Grossmont hit with Fred Benedetti. Thanks to you all that made it out and man it was a hoot once again exploring the terrain of Planet Improv with Fred. I can’t wait to visit again soon…

And for this week I’m looking forward to the Roxy gig on Thursday. It’ll be a solo guitar night in downtown Encinitas.

Next week I’m heading to New Orleans to play a night at Snug Harbor, a master class at the University and then a night of music with guitarist Phil Degruy. If you know anyone there, maybe pass the word along.
