Dear Friends, yesterday I was in a plane surrounded by snowcapped mountains, trying to get off the ground, going through the de-icing maneuvers and crossfade that into 3 hours later I was home surfing some blown out beauties in the wild blue. Got to love how this world spins! Springtime magic in SoCal!

On Monday I teamed up with the Dianne Reeves group for a wonderful concert in Salt Lake City. The music was super fun and Dianne sounds just amazing. That night a big snowstorm came over the city and all of the notions that it was springtime vanished. Early the next morning the plane destined for home was delayed ‘cuz there was ice everywhere. I’m so glad they took their time and got me home safe. Props to the de-icing men and woman of the world.

Springtime in Salt Lake City!

For this week I’m looking forward to playing the Roxy on Thursday. Solo guitar explorations chapter 42. Next up it’ll be Fred, Tripp and I playing our Blurring the Edges music at Grossmont College on Friday night. We’re adding in a big piece of mine from our first group recording called “The Canticle”. Big fun! Occupancy rate at the woodshed just went up to 3 jazz musos getting reacquainted with a fistful of tricky notes.

Fred, Tripp and I hanging out with the trees on the top of the hill in Del Mar a few years back.

And the last hit for this week is a Saturday night duo concert with Fred and I sponsored by the San Diego Folk Heritage Society. The show will be at the San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas. See below for the fine print. It’ll be a fun show and hope you can make it.

That’s it and hope to see you soon, Peter
