Hi Friends, I hope all is going well. Last week was a stellar marathon of 6 strings and beyond. The Primal Twang and the primal hang! I had a great time and it was filled with inspired performances by some world-class musos all playing for the spirit of the guitar’s glorious lineage. From Fred and George playing flamenco with Lakshmi the dancer to Doyle Dykes complete mastery on “Three Little Words” to Andrew York’s gorgeous Americana expedition to Mason William’s visit with his classic hit to Eric Johnson’s insanity on “Crossroads”-all of this and more held together with the backdrop of Dan Crary’s storytelling and singing. It was really something and I’m so glad I was in the loop. Coming downwind is the live concert DVD and perhaps more performances. I’m into that and I’ll let you know…

For this week on Saturday evening Lisa, Gunnar and myself will play the Inn L’Auberge in Del Mar. We’ve rustled up a few new original tunes that we plan to play including “The Latitudes of Paris”, “Holding on in Bombay” and Charlie Chaplin’s “Smile.”

On Sunday we gather the pranksters to set the Coyote on fire. Leonard’s in the house too and we hope to see you at the fire rings for some semi-educated noise…

adios, Peter
