Greetings Good People, today I’ve been attempting to break the world record for executing the most hand created and self addressed emails per hour ever! In other words, non spam induced communication. I’ve been blanketing California and the world at large in hopes of drumming up some more playing opportunities for my string group. I have the CMA grant in hand and we’re attempting to fan out and spread the good word of weird music with positive spirit in tow. What a huge challenge! It turns out mostly no one cares but there are a few good folks that take an interest.

Contrast this with a recent email that floated to my inbox from some fortunate muso whose “manager” contacted me, letting me know that said muso was passing through town and would I like to include him on some concerts. It didn’t work out but man oh man was I envious of this fellow’s manager helper who was doing the heavy lifting on the gig hunt front. Imagine that, I could play the guitar and work on new things and even day dream a little, all the while some spirited worker bee was plowing the fields! Someday maybe!

Well, in the meantime, I’m stoked to play the guitar and I’ve got 4 cool solo guitar adventures lined up for this week. Starting off with the Roxy World on Thursday, leading into the magic of the Encinitas Library on Saturday afternoon. Sunday’s all about a double outing with an afternoon outdoors experience at the Solana Beach Arts Alive event and this morphs into a Coronado hit at the Boathouse in the evening. Look below for the details.

That’s it and I hope to see you there. Thanks for reading.

all best, Peter
