Hi Friends, I'm doing an full aural immersion into Stevie Wonder's music in preparation for the upcoming show at Dizzy's. Leonard and I decided that downwind we'll do an additional show of Wonder music because the pain of selecting the tunes and having to let some of them go has become unbearable. There are volumes of excellent Stevie songs and I want to play all of them!

Coming up next week is the big concert celebrating Bob Magnusson's new release "Liquid Lines." His recording fuses his thoughts on jazz and the ocean and he brings it all together with a stellar band and his classic compositions. Randy Porter is coming down from Portland to play piano and together we'll present the music from the cd as well as a few other ocean related jazz standards. Key Largo anyone?

On Sunday ( tomorrow) there will be a benefit for drummer Paul Blyfuss with bands playing from noon until 7:00 at Blind Melon's. Paul has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Paul has been a San Diego music fixture for years and we're so sorry for his medical challenge. I'm already booked but please check out the show and offer your support if you can.
Sunday, April 30th
Blind Melon's in Pacific Beach 710 Garnet
(next to the Crystal Pier).

I hope to see you out there.

adios, Peter
