Hi Friends, just back from Chicago from a magical concert at Grant Park with Dianne Reeves and the band. What a cool scene with loads of humidity, a steady breeze and a zillion enthusiastic fans wanting to hear Dianne tell it like it is.

Leading up to it, I totally blew it and missed my early morning flight. First time I’ve ever done that! Being on standby for the next flight, unsure if I’ll get on, what a sad place to live. The “super more careful mode” is on full blast from here on out. Scary stuff!

Well, I made it on time and all went smooth after that. I think I've learned my lesson to not cut it so close.

Here's the view from the stage at Grant Park in Chicago.

North County flow is the Roxy this Thursday night playing my new version of “Desifinado.” I think I have a chord on every melody note at this point. I’m practicing to see if I can pull it off with a tempo in the mix. So far it’s just been a rubato ride only. It’ll be a hoot however it plays out and hope you can come and hang. See you there!

Looking to next week it’ll be more Roxy music, both solo and also one night with Kate and Tripp Sprague as special guests. Also, we’re gearing up the Stevie Wonder music for a concert at the First Unitarian Church in Hillcrest. That’ll funk-a-fy samba-ize right through the night. Line ‘em up!

See ya, Peter

Desifinado, a chord on every melody note!
