Hi Friends, scribbling to you via the magic of October!

I remember back in the day playing music with singer/songwriter Deborah Liv Johnson and she had this tune that totally caught the vibe of what today is —endless sun, summer’s over, looking to the changing season, the magic of October!

I had a great weekend of music and here are some pictures of where the sonic love happened.

Fred and Peter with uberfan #634 ref.8b hanging tight at Ki's in Cardiff. It was a wonderful night of music and we had four necks going simultaneously, all with minimal train wreckage!

On Sunday night Leonard Patton and I were invited to be part of the San Diego Troubadour Concert event in North Park. Enormous fun with all of the bucks going towards keeping the great Troubadour newspaper out there and circulating.

Gunnar, Duncan and I played Monday night at the Calypso in Leucadia and it was sooooo fun! I'm telling you folks, my view for how a live music experience can be a positive thing just went through the roof! This place sounds amazing and the vibe was right. It was great to play with the trio again and we all came away inspired by the possibilities. We'll do it again on 10/24.

Up for this week, tonight I’ll be at the big fundraiser gig at The Grand Del Mar resort. You’re all invited too and if interested look below for the details.

Thursday I’m stoked to explore the improvisational possibilities at the Roxy in Encinitas and then Sunday, a similar adventure but this time at the Boathouse in Coronado. Hope to see you out amongst the living.

one love, P

7 PM   Back years ago I played at the Calypso in Leucadia and it was huge fun. Then they had a restriction that no amps could be used. They redone the place and we can plug in. Hurray! We're gearing up the trio to play every other Monday for hopefully a long stint.
