The Party Continues! Urrrhhh, well I'm not so absolutely sure about that but at least on paper it’s still supposed to continue all the way until the kids are back to school on Monday. It’s been a nice mellow version over here, working in the day and hanging next to the fireplace in the evening with the family. Life is good!

We had a wonderful concert on Christmas Eve and the setup and good folks at the Encinitas Library really saved the day. It was a big turnout and the vibe and spirit of community was flowing. Great music too—Coral and Kevyn and the whole entourage of sitting in guests shared their music and by the end of the concert, all the creatures were stirring. Perfecto!

I've put together a photo album here if you want to see more of what went down.

Young Kate Sprague captures the audience with the "Happy Working Song". Total magic!

This was probably the last jam on "Mais Que Nada" and we've got (l. to r.) Hall Sprague, Kevyn Lettau, Peter, John Leftwich, and Coral MacFarland Thuet all belting out the chorus.

At the end of the concert it's a group photo. From (l. to r.) John Leftwich, Duncan Moore, Mark Lessman, Hall Sprague, Kevyn Lettau, Fred Benedetti, Peter, Riley Fleck (my nephew), (lower) Tripp Sprague, Kate Sprague, Coral MacFarland Thuet, and Gunnar Biggs.

For this week I’m looking forward to a concert with vocalist Leonard Patton at a new concert venue that he’s helping organize called Milestones. We need some new places to play music and especially ones where music is the main deal, not a background working on the railroad concept. Leonard says the show will be streaming over the internet as well and welcome to the modern 2009. Can’t wait! Look below for the details and I hope to see you there.

Friends, that’s it for this week and may all good things be in your life. To borrow a favorite phrase from my wise old Dad, onwards and upwards!

best, Peter
