Hi Friends, this whole week has been the week of the Twang. I’ve been logging it in at the ultra cool North Park Theatre and the drill has been all day rehearsals into the late late night on a mission to hone this production known as the Primal Twang. The news is, I think it’s going to be a really special show. There are so many beautiful styles of guitar being represented with phenomenal artists sharing their creative gifts. It’s the world of bluegrass, rock, jazz, classical, flamenco, surf guitar, Hendrix, Clapton, samba guitar and onwards for 2 sets of insanity on the six strings. Actually there is some 12 string mischief going on as well and then you have Bebbe Gambetta on harp guitar which wins the award for the largest string count at Twang—I’m thinking he’s dealing with 20 strings! Guitarist and vocalist Dan Crary weaves the storyline and connects the dots and above him is video footage to fill in some of the visual details. I’m in there offering up some bossa nova and I’ve got Duncan, Fred Benedetti, and Jeff Pekarek in the loop with me. Big fun indeed!

Click the Primal Twang image above for a link to the official site. The shows are happening all this week starting tonight and ending on Sunday with a matinee performance. I hope you can make it out…

That's what I know now. I'm gathering my wits and getting ready to make my way back down to the theatre. Today is a marathon sprint attempting to pull the whole hurricane into focus. Big fun version 2...

adios, Peter
