Friends, I haven’t seen you for a while and here’s a quick one letting you know that life is excellent up here in Leucadia! I’ve been doing some under the radar gorilla hits and this means private gigs where the chocolate covered strawberries live and the happy people talk and plow right through the music. At least the pay makes up for it and it helps towards my daughter’s college fund. And folks, it’s 2012 and college funds equal the cost of a house in San Marcos! Urrggghhhh!

We’ve had a month of celebration for our daughter Kylie’s graduation from high school. She really took on the scholar angle and the cool factor for us was that she did it without evening scuffles and harsh words. Somehow she figured it out early that it might help later on to do well at school. Stef and I are super proud of her and in the fall she heads out to the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.

And for the music, tomorrow maestro Benedetti and I play a concert at the La Jolla Festival of the Arts. They turn a whole athletic field near U.C.S.D. into a fun zone for growns and kids alike. Fred and I played it last year and it’s always a hoot.

Hope to see you there and I’ll be in touch next week with the further travels of the SpragueMan!

All best, P
