Hi Friends, as I’m writing today I have a Bruce Cockburn song spinning on the disc and his singing on this particular lyric is blowing my mind:

Wave on wave of life
Like the great wide ocean's roll
Haunting hands of memory
Pluck silver strands of soul
The damage and the dying done
The clarity of light
Gentle bows and glasses raised
To the charity of night

It’s from his “Charity of Night” recording and it’s speaking to me loud and clear. Any of you hip this fellow?

I’ve been putting a little bit of energy into my YouTube channel lately by adding some new videos and information. Check it out here if you want. You can also subscribe and I guess what happens then is that each time I add a new vid you get sent a link to scope it out. I’m thinking of documenting more performances coming up and adding them into the digital hurricane of YouTube. Spin on, oh waves of life…

The gig situation for this week starts tomorrow with a duo hit at the Merc in Temecula. It’ll be a concert with Bob Magnusson and myself exploring silence and sound. It should be a special night.

Next up is a Saturday Harry’s Bar and Grill gig with my brother Tripp on sax and flute, Gunnar is on the bass and I’m on guitar. Super fun hang there and I’ve got three new tunes that we’ll test drive.

Trio music! Peter, Tripp and Gunnar,

The week mellows into Sunday and you’ll find me playing a solo gig at the Boathouse in Coronado that evening. I played there last week and had a great time. Superior visuals and the soundtrack ain’t bad either. Hope to see you there.

Gentle bows and glasses raised, Peter
